| Word processing, spreadsheets, personal finance software, the internet,
online chatting,laptops, personal digital assistants, and even cell phones.
These are just a few of the things that people use day-to-day and don't give
a second thought to. For people that are blind and visually impaired,
often times these things are not available to them. Not only are these
things at times not available, but in most cases people do not have the
appropriate training to use them. At CEVI, we believe that technology should be available to anyone who would like to use it. We are attempting to make technology for blind andvisually impaired individuals in and around El Paso, and southern New Mexico more readily available. We are attempting to have a fully functioning computer lab where blind and visually impaired people can come in and use. We will also be offering technology training in a variety of productivity softtware. |
